About me

I am a 30 year old male with a decade of experience modeling for artists and art classes. My modeling engagements have taken me to 40 different schools and community groups in 6 different states in the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast. At the moment I live in New York City and model regularly for most of the major art schools, universities, ateliers, and drawing groups in the Metro NYC area, along with a host of private artists. I typically pose nude but pose in costume occasionally as well. I have modeled for body painting performance art pieces, fine art photography, have posed for all night draw-a-thons, and have modeled nude with multiple models of both sexes. As far as art modeling goes, I’ve seen, heard, and done just about everything. Though art modeling is no longer my full time occupation – I have a completely separate career – serving as the inspiration for artists is still a passion.

Other than posing nude as my favorite pastime, there is nothing particularly “unusual” about me. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world, and we are still happy newlyweds 3 years into the marriage. There are no children yet, but I do have an adorable little Yorkie. I have a great career, love sports (especially football), and attend a wonderful church in Manhattan. So other than art modeling, my life is fairly ordinary.

But I do love figurative art and art modeling, and this blog provides a great way for me to discuss both. I have always loved classical painting and sculpture, especially figurative works. I’ll provide my opinions on many famous work as well as highlighting my favorites. All my art modeling experiences written here are 100% true without embellishment. Does anonymity hurt my credibility? Perhaps, but my employers in my non-modeling career might not look fondly on this blog, and I have some family members who do not know about my art modeling, and would likely disapprove. So I must remain anonymous – I wish it were not so.

Thank you for allowing me to share a part of my life with you, and for taking the time to read Figuratively Speaking. Always feel free to e-mail me at coldsilvermoon@aol.com – all inquiries will be read and met with a response. I look forward to interacting with you on this blog!

Respectfully yours,
CSM
